PinoyBux: My Venture Into The World of PTC

Many years back, I've always wanted to have my own PTC website. I have been a member to a number of PTC websites since 2005 but I admit I am not that active on them.

Finally, May 5 of this year. My long time dream have come to a reality when I launched PinoyBux. A paid-to-click website just like other PTC websites out there offers its members the chance to earn extra money from viewing ads on the net. PinoyBux is 100% Pinoy and it is now currently dubbed as the very first Filipino PTC website.

A PTC Website Like No Other

During the time that I am setting up everything for PinoyBux, I am thinking of a feature that will be unique and cannot be found on other PTC websites. And I thought that since it is purely Pinoy, an idea came to me that would allow Filipino members to convert their earnings into cellphone load or G-Cash. International members can still get their earnings via PayPal or AlertPay but they must have in their account a minimum of $10 before they can request for a payout. For Filipino members, they must have at least $0.50 to be able to request for a cellphone load or a minimum of $2.50 to receive their payout via G-Cash.

Few days after its launching, members are starting to come in. At first, there were only 10, few days more they became 30, and in a week time, PinoyBux members have reached to 200. Now almost 2 months after its launching, the membership has grown to a tremendous 2300+ and counting day by day.

I was very pleased with the overwhelming support from my fellow Filipinos. Although some are saying that this could be another PTC scam but I have proved them wrong since many members have already received their earnings.

The First Investments

Since its new, PinoyBux still has no advertisers. What I did was I put some investments and advertised some of my other websites and affiliate links to keep members at PinoyBux. I've also posted advertisements on some free forums and free online classified ads to attract potential advertisers. I even bought a $2.50 worth of advertising package to create more exposure for PinoyBux.

Though its very tough on my part to give away free money since I am not earning that much online from blogging, I took the challenge and hope that I can get my ROI someday. PTC business is risky but that's how everything goes. The success of PTC websites not only depends on the number of members but also on the number of advertisers.

Now, 2 months after its launching, PinoyBux is slowly taking advertisers. They are only few but it is better than nothing.
